The External Advisory Board
In line with the university's commitment to developing academic programs at the College of Computer and Cyber Sciences and ensuring their alignment with the job market, distinguished experts from both the public and private sectors, as well as faculty members from top local and international universities, were invited to participate in the college's Advisory Board meeting. The aim is to achieve collaboration between the college and the community, and to leverage the expertise of the board members toward enhancing the college's outcomes, finalizing quality requirements, and achieving academic accreditation.
The third Advisory Board meeting was held on February 1st at the university, under the leadership of the Dean of the College of Computer and Cyber Sciences, Dr. Ahmad Showail. The meeting was attended by Professor Abdul-Muttalab Al-Siddig from the University of Ottawa in Canada, Professor Mohamed Al-Farouq from the University of California in the United States, Professor Omar Rana from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, Professor Atef Ahmed from the University of Melbourne in Australia, Professor Arwa Al-Ama from King Abdulaziz University, Professor Adnan Qutb from Umm Al-Qura University, as well as leaders in the industrial sector such as Dr. Luay Hasnawi from ACES, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shamrani from COGNNA, and representatives from government entities such as Dr. Majed Al-Sahli from the National Cyber Security Authority.
During the meeting, the Advisory Board members participated in:
1. Providing advice to the academic departments at the college
2. Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the college
3. Assisting in the development of programs and curricula at the college in accordance with the requirements of the job market
4. Assisting in creating opportunities for the employment of college graduates
