Training and Employment

National Workforce Qualification Initiative for Industry

The initiative aims to achieve the Saudi industrial strategy by supporting the industrial sector with trained human resources, in addition to developing the skills of graduates at all levels and creating new job opportunities for nationals. Furthermore, the initiative aims to empower Saudi women to join the workforce in the industrial sector.

The idea of the initiative started in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce in Yanbu, which developed a clear action plan implemented within a specific timeframe. The Chamber of Commerce in Yanbu initiated communication with companies in the industrial sector in Yanbu Industrial City to identify their needs and recruitment plans for the upcoming period. Approximately 120 job positions were identified. Subsequently, the Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the industrial companies, conducted an analytical study of the labor market in the industrial sector to determine the skills gap and training needs, enabling Saudi youth to join these factories.

The next phase involves registration for job seekers among new graduates, followed by candidate interviews and selection. The initiative concludes with the implementation of training programs.
