Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Award for Distinguished Staff is a periodic annual award launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mansour bin Muqrin and seeks to spread the culture of quality and excellence in academic work, administrative work, and motivate faculty members and employees on the quality of achievement and creativity in work, which is a means of appreciating, honoring, supporting and motivating distinguished academic and administrative efforts, in order to achieve the university's goals and mission.

About the award
The Prince Mansour bin Muqrin Award for Excellence at the University of Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz aims to appreciate and honor outstanding efforts in the academic and administrative fields. It seeks to motivate faculty members and administrative staff to achieve leadership and excellence in their roles, as well as contribute to building a work environment that encourages innovation and continuous development. The award also aims to enrich the values of positive competition between faculty members and between administrative staff.
The winners are selected based on various criteria, including excellence and quality of performance, innovation, community service, and contribution to achieving the university's goals the University of Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz believes in the importance of recognizing efforts, honoring the outstanding, providing support, and encouragement to continue working with quality and excellence. It acknowledges exceptional achievements and encourages them, thereby enhancing team spirit and contributing to the realization of the university's vision as a distinguished and innovative educational institution.

filtration mechanisms
The award selection criteria include six criteria, with 60% allocated to academic achievement for nominated students and 40% distributed among five other criteria.
Steps of filtration mechanisms
- Gather nominations at the personal or organizational level.
- Attach all certificates, evidence, and proof with the nomination request.
- Fill out the nomination forms.
- Ensure that all criteria and sub-indicators are met and authenticate all forms.
- Exclude incomplete forms or those that do not meet the requirements and keep them in a separate file.
- Assign the appropriate rating to the evaluation criteria in the form.
-. Transfer the data from the forms to an Excel file.
-. Conduct the initial comparison among the candidates based on the ratings and evidence.
-. Identify the candidates who have obtained scores higher than (85%) as qualified to compete for the award.
-. Submit the results of the preliminary nomination to the main committee.
1) Ensuring the completion and accuracy of the nomination forms.
2) Verifying the forms and estimated scores for each applicant, and validating all forms.
3) Ensuring fairness in comparing the nominations among the applicants.
4) Recommending the names of the winning candidates.
5) Recommending equal division of the prize in case of a tie.
6) Recommending withholding the prize if the criteria are not met or if the required conditions and documents are not completed.
7) Documenting the nomination results in a record, including the names of the prize winners.
8) Approving the results by the General Supervisor of the Award.
