Accounting Department

Overview

The Accounting program is one of the programs of the College of Business and Tourism. It is characterized by scientific materials that comply with the requirements of the local and international labor market. These requirements are in line with the aspirations of Vision 2030 and the requirements of the Saudi Organization of Accountants and Auditors.

Mission

Equip students with a high-quality education by fostering the necessary knowledge, skills, and values while promoting research and community service to excel in accounting

  • Learning Outcomes

    • Demonstrate knowledge of current accounting discipline theories and practices, including financial reporting, managerial accounting, audit, zakat & tax accounting, and accounting information systems. (KLO1) 
    • Illustrate the core business knowledge that is required for accountants to fulfill their role in running businesses. (KLO2) 
    • Implement financial analysis tools to inform accounting decisions and optimize business performance. (KLO3) 
    • Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate and propose effective solutions to complex accounting and business challenges. (KLO3) 
    • Apply accounting professional, interpersonal, and communication skills relevant to employment in accounting. (KLO4) 
    • Use of technological and quantitative skills appropriate to an accounting and business career. (KLO 5) 
    • Perform accounting tasks in compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and codes of ethics. (KLO6) 
    • Collaborate in teams to solve accounting challenges and achieve goals. 
    • Promote professional development, lifelong learning, and sustainability in accounting practices.
